fusible links (one at a time) is a good way to generally isolate the issue. After that, can do to the various fuses for a finer diagnosis...
It's really possible the issue could be the alternator - they can do this when bad. Post back what current reading you get when doing the ammeter measurement on the drain. If fairly high (> 1/2 amp or so) - would suspect the alternator.
